DRY SKINCARE

What Is Dry Skin?

Dry skin lacks sufficient moisture and natural oils, leading to tightness, flakiness, rough texture, and sometimes itching. The skin barrier is often compromised, making it more vulnerable to irritation and environmental damage. The goal of a dry skin routine is to replenish moisture, lock it in, and strengthen the barrier.

Core Skincare Steps for Dry Skin

  • Creamy or oil-based cleanser – Avoid foaming cleansers that strip natural oils. Opt for a nourishing milk or balm cleanser instead.
  • Hydrating toner or essence – Layer lightweight hydration immediately after cleansing to prep the skin for richer products.
  • Hyaluronic acid serum – Draws moisture into the skin. Apply to damp skin for best results.
  • Rich moisturiser – Look for formulas with shea butter, ceramides, squalane, or glycerin to deeply nourish and seal in hydration.
  • Facial oil (optional) – A few drops of rosehip, marula, or argan oil on top of your moisturiser adds an extra layer of nourishment, especially in winter.
  • SPF daily – Choose a moisturising sunscreen formula that won’t dry out the skin further.

Extra Tips for Dry Skin

Avoid hot showers and harsh soaps. Apply your moisturiser within 60 seconds of washing your face to lock in moisture. In winter, consider using a humidifier to add moisture to the air.

Weekly Treatments

A gentle hydrating mask once or twice a week can give dry skin an extra boost. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, or honey.

Key Active Ingredients
